Shure Beta 27 Supercardioid Side-Address Condenser Studio Microphone
Product Code: BETA-27
Our Price: $399.00
Description
Beta Microphones have been
the choice of top touring and recording professionals who demand the accurate
reproduction of fine details, sensitivity and control. The
precision-engineered Beta 27 builds on this legacy by providing the only large
diaphragm side-address supercardioid condenser microphone suitable for
demanding acoustic environments.
Boasting a low-mass,
externally-biased, ultra-thin 24 karat gold-layered Mylar diaphragm to deliver
a superior transient response, the Beta 27 also includes a three-position
switchable low-frequency filter to reduce unwanted low frequencies, an internal
pop filter constructed with three separate mesh layers, and gold-plated
internal and external connectors.
The Beta 27 promises
natural reproduction even at high SPLs partially thanks to the inclusion of a
-15 dB switchable attenuator, lending it to wide array of potential
applications. Likely sources for the model will include guitar and bass
amplifiers, drum and percussion overheads, and miking pianos and horns. The
mic’s combination of a supercardioid polar pattern and flat frequency response
provides strong off-axis rejection, while its polar pattern is designed to
ensure high-gain before feedback.
Features
Flat frequency response and low self noise that provide
unerring performance in demanding environments
A tight supercardioid pattern that ensures high
gain-before-feedback and maximum isolation from other sound sources
Superior transient response from a low-mass, 1"
externally-biased, ultra-thin 24 Karat gold-layered Mylar® diaphragm
3-position switchable low-frequency filter that helps
reduce unwanted background noise
-15 dB switchable attenuator that handles extremely
high SPLs with ease
Internal pop filter with three separate mesh layers
reduces wind and breath noise
